2025 Gitga’at Back to School Support

The Chief and Council of the Gitga’at First Nation is pleased to announce funding support for $300 per registered Gitga’at child attending school from kindergarten to grade 12, starting September 2025.

This program is for off-reserve families only, as children living in Hartley Bay are already registered through the Hartley Bay School, so their families do not need to submit this form.

Eligibility:

Eligible applicants must be registered members of the Gitga’at First Nation who do NOT reside in Hartley Bay.

Application:

The application form must be completed in full, and a copy of a bank-verified direct deposit form or a voided cheque must be uploaded if you have changed your banking information since December 2024.  Please ensure your current address and contact information are included in the application.  Missing information will delay the process.

Processing:

Applications will be processed as they are received, and payments will be made by direct deposit or cheque.  The payments will start to be released in mid-August 2025.  The deadline for submitting application forms for processing is September 26, 2025, at 4:30 pm.
