Notice is hereby given that the Gitga’at First Nation has called an election in

accordance with the Gitga’at Custom Election Code (2019), for the purpose of electing one (1) Chief Councillor and four (4) Councillors for the next 3-year term.

Voting Place & Time – March 20, 2026 1:00PM - 7:00 PM

GDC Building – 623 3rd Ave West, Prince Rupert

Advanced Voting Place & Time – March 19, 2026 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Hartley Bay Memorial Center – 312 Weexaa Avenue, Hartley Bay

The Voter List and the Gitga’at First Nation Custom Election Code are available at the Gitga’at Administration Office or via the Electoral Officer.

Online Voting: To vote electronically, visit the One Feather link below. When you get to the website you will be prompted through the process to cast your vote. Online voting begins at 1:00 PM on February 18, 2026 and ends at 7:00 PM on March 20, 2026.

Remote Ballot packages will be sent to all eligible electors, to their last known address of record with the Nation. They may vote by Mail-in Ballot, Electronic Ballot or in-person. Please ensure that your address is up to date for the purpose of receiving a mail-in ballot package.
