Planned Power Outage Notice Gitga’at First Nation

BC HYDRO POWER OUTAGES | AUGUST 26 AND 27, 2025

Two planned power outages will affect customers in Hartley Bay to support training at the Diesel Station. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we carry out this important work to better serve the community.

• Tuesday, August 26, 2025 – 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm.

• Wednesday, August 27, 2025 – 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm.

All impacted BC Hydro customers will receive notification of these outages. BC Hydro will endeavor to resume power as quickly as possible.

Please note that the power may turn off and on multiple times in these windows. It is recommended that customers prepare for the outage by disconnecting electronics and appliances. When power is restored, avoid immediately turning on your heating system and numerous electronics and appliances as soon as the power is back.

This gives our electrical system a chance to stabilize.
