GITGA’AT NATION 2023 BY ELECTION NOTICE TO INDIVIDUALS NOMINATED

Dear Nominee:
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
There are several conditions that must be met for a nominee’s candidacy to stand, and for their name be included on the ballot:
1. Nomination Form completed by a mover and seconder, including the contact information of
the nominee.
2. The Electoral Officer shall contact the nominees as soon as possible after the nomination
meeting to inform them of the candidacy requirements.
3. A nominee must provide the following to the Electoral Officer within five (5) days of the nomination meeting: 4:30 PM ON 6th FEBRUARY 2023.
a) Their contact information and conformation of their ordinary place of residence.
b) Written confirmation (can be via email) of their intention to run as a candidate or withdraw their nomination; and ;
c) Provide a completed Criminal Record Check to the Electoral Officer by scanned photo on text, or scanned photo on email. Criminal Records Checks less than three months old may be submitted.
You may obtain a Criminal Record Check in person at the RCMP detachment or online at www.backcheck.net.
