On behalf of Gitga’at Forestry LP and Gitga’at First Nation, we invite Gitga’at Community Members to view and provide input and comments on a proposed Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP).
The proposed FSP covers tenures held by Gitga’at Forestry Inc. on behalf of Gitga’at First Nation. The FSP covers areas within the Great Bear Rainforest Land Use Objectives Central and North Coast area. The overview map here shows the outline of the proposed FSP area (outlined in purple).
The FSP proposes results and strategies describing how Gitga’at Forestry Inc. will manage the resources under Provincial legislation, including the Great Bear Rainforest Land Use Objectives Order.
The FSP is available for viewing at the GOLD Office in Hartley Bay during regular business hours, the Prince Rupert Public Library, and the Terrace Public Library until March 22, 2024.
