Free work readiness & financial health programs for Indigenous Youth

JABC offers free programs year-round to Indigenous youth across British Columbia. The programs include Financial Health, Work Readiness and Entrepreneurial Knowledge and Skills.


They range from 1 to 4 hours in length and are free of charge. The programs we offer for the different age ranges are as follows:

More than Money

5 -7 year old’s -35 minutes

8 – 9 year old’s - 45 minutes

9 to 12 year old’s - 1 – 4 hours

More than Money and Dollars with Sense Combined

For 13 to 16 year old’s – can be 1 – 2 hours

Job Prep Program

15 - 29 year old’s – 1 – 2 hours

University Prep Program

17 – 29 year old’s 1 – 2 hours

These are mainly 4-hour programs.

What we do is:

  1. We pay an honorarium for someone in your area to deliver for us,

  2. You deliver, and we pay that person an honorarium to deliver or

  3. One of our staff delivers the programs

Honorariums are as follows:

1 - 3 ½ hours is a $200 honorarium

4 -7 hours – more than one program - $400 honorarium
