About the Role

The Health Director reports to the Band Manager of Gitga’at First Nation. This position plays a vital role in the health care industry because the incumbent oversees and makes important decisions about health care services while ensuring local programs and services are administered to fully serve the needs of the community members who depend on quality health service delivery.

The Health Director implements policies and procedures, develops new programs and regularly evaluates local programs to ensure services are compliant with the funding requirements as agreed on through integrated health agreements.
