About the Role

The Gitga’at Oceans and Lands Department (GOLD) has an opening for a full-time permanent Hatchery Manager.

Reporting to the Director of Gitga’at Oceans and Lands, the Hatchery Manager monitors and maintains the right environment for salmon - raising them from eggs and stocking them in the natural environment each year. The Hatchery Manager will be a key member of the Hartley Bay Salmon Enhancement Project.

The job incumbent should be comfortable in a fast paced, results based environment and have excellent problem solving, communication, supervision, time and safety management skills.
